What's with today today?

God, I love endorphins. I was not in the best mood today, but the second I spent ten minutes on the elliptical machine after work everything was great. I even ended up communicating with more people at the gym than ever before. Admittedly, most of this communication was along the lines of, "Are you finished with that machine/weight/stability ball?", but there was one quality conversation. There is a woman at my gym that I've always admired. She's far from a twig, but she's got an incredibly striking face and a great sense of style. She became even more interesting to me last week when she was reading a book in Spanish while doing her cardio. Today, we ended up in the locker room at the same time; she was coming and I was going. She pulled out an Isabel Allende book and I finally had my chance to talk to her. Was she a native speaker? How difficult did she think Allende was for a non-native speaker, because I had heard she was a good author for people like me? She suggested "La Ciudad de las Bestias" by Allende. I'll have to pass this on to my friend Kelly since she's been wanting us to do a Spanish book club, and by club I mean her and me, for several weeks now. I wonder how long we'll stick with the club or if we'll even start it. I'll keep you posted.
