What, exactly, do you mean?

Today at the gym, a girl was working out in a seemingly home-made t-shirt that had the words "Real Women Throw Up (and then go eat pancakes)" scribbled across the back. When she finally turned around, I saw that "Syracuse" was written on the front of her shirt.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? What statement is this girl trying to make? Is she for or against throwing up? And what's with the pancakes?
