Tales from Seattle: The Condensed Version
Now is the perfect time to take a break from packing and give you a brief summary of my stay in Seattle.
Seattle is a wonderful place. The city is beautiful and the people are friendly. In fact, I think that, as a whole, I have met more nice people here than in any other U.S. city. And then there's the weather. The stereotypical Seattle day is cloudy and rainy but, in my five days here, I have experienced just one day of rain and several days of sunshine.
What have I done in Seattle? Admittedly, not much. This is my second vacation in less than a month, but I've been more in the mood to veg than explore. I did manage to do a Duck tour of the city and it was as cheesy as I expected. Still, who can resist a bus that turns into a boat? The tour showed me a lot of the city in a short period of time, so it wasn't all bad. While in Seattle, I also had one of the best breakfasts ever. If you are ever in Seattle, I strongly recommend Glo's in Capitol Hill.
I can hear my dear friend Caroline waking up so I'll wrap this up quickly. The best part about being in Seattle has been seeing three of my old friends. Caroline, Neva, and Ben (aka Disco Stu), thank you so much for making this trip so wonderful. You have all been incredibly generous with your time and knowledge. It was great to see you again.
The end.
P.S. To my friends in other port cities, I promise to never ask to go on a Duck tour again.
