I'm back from Tulum and my vacation was fabulous. Various family members arrived on various days and, in all, twenty people from mi familia made it down to the beach. Despite such an unwieldy number, we managed quite well. It was especially nice because I got to bond with people who I've known for all of my life, or theirs, but never been able to spend enough time with. I didn't go to any ruins and I probably spent less than eight hours in the water, but I had a great time.
My family and I basically took over Cabañas la Conchita as if it were our own little village. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend it. Check out the picture below and the link above for more information. If you're curious, I was in Cabaña #3, which my fifteen-year-old cousin and I were "stuck" with because we were the only family members who were not paying part of the tab (Here I must say thank you, thank you, thank you to my father for paying for my room.). Really, the room was amazing and I have nothing to complain about. I hope that someday I make it back to la Conchita because it really is a lovely place with lovely people and a delicious, included breakfast. Mmmmmm... banana pancakes...
