I want you to want me
Today I got a call from one of the schools I was waitlisted at and was asked if I would like to be taken off the wait list. The man, who was the director of admissions, didn't say, "Hi! We've admitted you." Instead, he was feeling me out. Before he said, "Congratulations! You're admitted," he wanted me to confirm that I would accept. I'm sure he's trying to keep his yield as high as he can but, man, it certainly didn't make me feel very wanted.
Though it was nice to get the call, my mind has not been swayed. I'm currently sticking with the school that accepted me without hesitation. The plus side to all of this is that my final business school numbers can change now. Here are the new numbers:
