The Paradox of Choice strikes again!
Barry Schwartz, the author of The Paradox of Choice: Why More is Less (Ecco Books, 2005), has been quoted once again in something that I just read. If you know me, then you know I read and listen to the news sporadically so this is impressive. This guy must be quoted all of the time.
The latest quotes come from a NYTimes.com article called, Who Pays $600 for Jeans? Really, I'd like to know the answer to that myself. I've already established that I am a maximizer (see Feb 5's post), but there's no way in hell I'd pay $600 for a pair of jeans. Admittedly, I own a pair of $80 Lucky jeans, but they were a gift. I still live in a land where I think that pants should cost no more than $50 and shirts should be below $20. Hmmmm... Maybe that's why I hate all my clothes.
